History

Formation

Veara was started in 2003 between Harrell and Kerr who met in the marching band at a Georgia high school. The two practiced together for a while, and eventually recruited Bambrick through conversations on the internet. Additional members would come and go as Veara gained popularity in their hometown until Wyrosdick joined in 2007, rounding out the four-piece. Their influences are said to include New Found Glory and Blink 182. The band named themselves after the unpleasant owner of a local record store as a joke.
